Born and raised in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, Jacqueline, the youngest of five children, was painting with watercolors by age two. Her mother found that large buckets of water kept her busy for hours when she wanted to paint the back porch. During high school she mastered pencil, pen and ink, calligraphy and oil paints, winning many awards. She was encouraged by parents to attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she graduated with a degree in Advertising Design.

Jacqueline moved to Punta Gorda, Florida where she created logos and print media in the graphic arts industry allowing her to freelance with every medium. Having no fear working large she painted floor to ceiling, created custom sandblasted signs, billboards, faux finishing homes, offices and restaurants. The common thread that runs through all of her work is bold.

As a multimedia artist she enjoys 3-dimensional sculpting in clay and various metals. Her love of nature and photography gives her the opportunity to capture the world as she sees it with intimate photos of exotic flowers and plants in her garden. Most recently her love of trying new things has led her to resin and pigments due to its volatile nature and inability to be controlled.

"Resin allows me to let go , enjoy a creative process with a 1200 degree heat gun and a blow torch. I have followed my mad scientist nature, exposed myself to fire and dangerous chemicals, spent a ton of time and money creating what I feel with a bright and glossy finish! It has been an amazing journey experimenting and never knowing exactly how my next piece of organic abstract art will come to be."

On weekends she and her husband, Daniel Alvo, a wood turner, create together at the studio they share on two acres of pure paradise in Alva, Florida with their two golden retrievers.

Jacqueline's work can be seen in many corporate settings, restaurants, residential high-rise lobbies, hotels and residential homes.
